The “Classic” Countdown
As if we just blinked, we find ourselves in awe that this year has come and gone. But, in such fortune, it gives us the opportunity to clink our glasses with our loved ones in cheers for our hopes within the upcoming year.
As we all see New Years as a look into the future, we must not forget about the present and what we choose to wear on this sweet, simple holiday.
Now, as you know, I adore vintage, which means I choose classic vibes to bring in the new year.
Meaning a solid colored dress, in this case white, with lots of fun details and a show stopping back. People won’t know whether to look at you or the ball dropping… this look is just that rad.
Oh and by the way, this little number was purchased at the Urban Exchange and it’s a brand that is oh – so popular, which is Tobi. Ironically, it’s not only a fan favorite, it is a personal one as well.
This white high neck dress with a circle skirt includes pockets and an open back with a two zipper fasten. Its classic vibe, includes a fun and flirty feel, that can be amped up with the quirkiest shoes, especially ones with a color pop (any color you love will be rad, gal pal).
And accessories, of course. In this look, I am modeling the most beautiful headband from a pop shop at Bryant Park in NYC (Avigail Adam Jewlery — give them a follow) and an earthy rock around my neck from a vendor at the Stafford Christmas Market.
In all honesty, the key to success when it comes to being classic with a little twist is the little things. Those little things are the most important just as they seem to be in life itself.
Now, to end the year of 2017, I leave you with this:
*warning: sappy read ahead*
Take on the new year with a new perspective. New found love for life. More laughter, more love, and more positivity. Take more risks and live without fear. Be brave and trust in what is to come. Cherish the moments in which you are given and enjoy the little things. You only have one life to live, so live it to the fullest. And without a shadow of a doubt, be yourself.
Happy New Year, gal pals.
Kisses (and cheers),
