Style Profile: Meet Khadija
My name is Khadija and I’m a fashion merchandising student at Jefferson University. I’m a fashion blogger and a modest fashion influencer. Fashion has been a permanent love of mine for as long as I can remember, which is why a lot of my fashion inspiration comes from women I grew up watching on TV i.e. Fran Fine, Galleria Garibaldi, Raven Baxter, Cher Horowitz, etc.
The 90’s and early 2000’s shaped my life and what I believe the fashion industry is influenced by today, so I try to keep that era alive in my closet. This is why I like to shop mainly in thrift stores because I feel like the only way to truly capture the essence of those times is to shop for clothes from that era.
Urban Exchange is my ultimate thrifting haven and their selection matches my aesthetic perfectly so words cannot even begin to describe how excited I am to begin my journey with Urban Exchange as a brand ambassador.
As for my personal style, it ranges from 90’s posh chic to ethnic summer style and it changes with the seasons. I don’t like to limit myself when it comes to fashion and I believe that style is multifaceted so when the winter comes around, I’m in all neutrals and timeless pieces, but in the summer, I’m all jewel-tones and billowy silhouettes. These are both two different extremes on completely opposite sides of the spectrum, but I guess that’s what comes with being a Gemini and I love every minute of being a fashion chameleon.
