The Color of Spring 2018…
the color of spring 2018
As pastels were the color at the Spring/Summer 2018 fashion shows it began to look like an Easter Egg hunt on the runways this season with shades of light yellow, baby blue, and soft pink. All the latest brands from Vetements to Mango and H&M, has incorporated this color into their latest designs.
Although, it seemed the lilac hue was one that stood out the most from the rest. Yes, Lilac is officially back. The key to rockin this color trend no matter what your budget, is to keep it super simple.
The trick to making it look modern and chic rather than old fashioned is all about how you style it. Avoid wearing this color head to toe and mix it with denim, shades of grey or black. This color not only goes with light tones but also dark. You can wear lilac with light denims or dark. Part of the problem with lilac is it’s associated with doilies and bridesmaids but you can style this with casual clothing and make it chic.
Such as wearing a plain polo top like the one worn above from Urban Exchange Project. I styled this top with light denim jeans and custom made lilac tie dyed socks which gave it the perfect touch that was just enough to make the pale purple pop.
Go style your own Spring look at Urban Exchange Project and look out for the all the Lilac!
